CropMetrics and The Climate Corporation Launch Irrigation Data Partnership

LINCOLN, Nebraska (Dec. 3 2019) – CropMetrics, a leader in precision irrigation software and analytics, announced today a partnership with The Climate Corporation, the digital agriculture arm of Bayer, to enable enhanced data connectivity for farm water management.

Starting in 2020, farmer customers of both CropMetrics and Climate FieldView™ will have the option to seamlessly transfer key agronomic management data from FieldView to their CropMetrics accounts, eliminating the need for manual data entry and enhancing the customized irrigation recommendations and prescriptions they receive from CropMetrics.

“We have seen many times over how an optimized irrigation management plan can dramatically improve yields and increase water and fertilizer input use efficiency,” said Lee Addams, CEO of CropMetrics. “We are pleased to be partnering with The Climate Corporation to unlock increased profitability for growers globally, while having a real impact on the sustainability of water resources.”

“As ag technology and use of precision equipment increases, farmers are adopting more efficient irrigation practices to sustainably improve their productivity,” said John Raines, Chief Commercial Officer at The Climate Corporation. “We’re always working to build and strengthen partnerships to help maximize the value of digital insights, and this partnership with CropMetrics will no doubt make it easier for growers to utilize all their data to meet production goals while conserving a precious natural resource.”

The CropMetrics software platform provides an integrated solution for precision irrigation management, providing access to sensors, analytics, automation and agronomic support. It allows farmers and agronomists to interact seamlessly on data-driven irrigation.

First launched in the United States in 2015, FieldView gives farmers a deeper understanding of their fields so they can make more informed operating decisions to optimize yields, maximize efficiency and reduce risk. FieldView is currently on more than 60 million paid acres around the world.
